This is my second blog where I only post what I call 'how to' posts!

PSA: I only take requests for these posts on the other blog, so keep everything in one place!

What are the these 'how to' posts?

They are different in-depth instruction manuals for day to day activities! These are for if you haven't done it before, don't know what to expect,  or are too anxious or embarrassed to ask someone what to expect (don't worry, me too) etc!

Basically anything from getting the train, ordering a drink to going to a post office or a concert.

(Literally anything!!! and YES ofc I take requests, that's sort of the point actually)

It will just explain exactly what to expect, a step by step script essentially of what you're supposed to do, what people may ask you and how to respond, and all the weird hidden social norms that you may not otherwise know, because god knows I find it SO frustrating when there are social norms you're just ASSUMED to know!

Why I chose this:

Because as an autistic, previously extremely anxious, overthinking teenage girl, I found it really really scary and intimidating doing things for the first time alone (or not) with basically no idea what to expect.

Like sure, I got the basic idea that to get the train you scan the ticket and get on and then off, but really that is NOT what I needed to hear. I needed to know how to know what platform to go on, whether anyone will ask you anything, what seats your'e supposed to get and how to interact with everything.

And sure, loads of those have super obvious answers, but there was always a voice in my head saying "but what if it's changed, or what if this happens, or what do I do if-", and really what I needed was a step by step script of what to do to make it seem like I know what i'm doing and have done it a million times before!

I hated the idea of looking like I didn't know what I was doing, especially because at my age I was expected to have already one loads of those activities. So basically I've made the website here that younger me would have KILLED for!

How you can use this page (and me, your very under-qualified but experienced older sister):

- You can comment at the ends of any of my blogs with requests!

- You can add stuff that you want to be focused on more specifically. Like if don't answer all your questions, you can ask me to go more in-depth on it!

- If I missed anything you need to know about or are curious about, you can ask me and i'll answer!

- I'm like literally the last person ever to judge you if a question seems really obvious or embarrassing, because I have searched up some OUTRAGEOUSLY obvious questions before (i'm not kidding).

- Sometimes you're pretty certain you know the answer and just need to double check, and that's totally fine too, that's what I'm here for!!!
